Amanda Malek-Ahmadi

Ms. Amanda began dancing at the age of 5 and teaching at 17. She earned her degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Dance from the University of Arizona and studied abroad in Ireland, where she performed with University College Cork’s Dance Troupe. Amanda holds teaching certifications in Ballet, Jazz, Modern, and Tap through the Dance Masters of America Teacher Training School in Buffalo, NY.

Her teaching experience spans all ages—from toddlers to seniors—and includes K–12 public schools, community colleges, and local studios. Amanda has performed professionally with Busch Gardens Tampa and as a member of CDE2, the second company of Center Dance Ensemble. She currently dances with Wight Noise Dance Company under the direction of Rachel Wight.

In addition to teaching Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Zumba, and Zumba Gold, Amanda works with Special Education classes at a local elementary school, choreographing routines for the Special Olympics. She is also the author of the picture book 10 Ballet Dancers and recently choreographed and directed a dance production based on her book in May 2024.
