Chandler Hancock

Ms. Chandler was born and raised in Arizona, where her love for dance first began. She later moved to Utah to attend Brigham Young University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Dance Education. While at BYU, she was a member of the university’s top touring company, Theatre Ballet, where she had the opportunity to perform works by renowned choreographers such as Gerald Arpino, George Balanchine, Garrett Smith, and Ihsan Rustem.

In the summer of 2017, Chandler trained at the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, studying ballet, contemporary, and Gaga with esteemed faculty. Her original choreography, Through the Notions, was selected to represent BYU at the 2018 American College Dance Festival in Colorado.

Following graduation, she danced professionally with SALT Contemporary Dance’s second company for three years. She has also performed as a guest artist in Oquirrh Mountain Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker, dancing the roles of Dew Drop Fairy and Sugar Plum Fairy.

Chandler currently performs with Convergence Ballet Company in Phoenix and teaches at several local studios. As an educator, she is committed to providing high-quality dance instruction that nurtures students’ cognitive, physical, and emotional development. She believes dance teaches more than just technique, it cultivates life skills and fosters personal growth in every student.
